Too much pot smoking causes me weird anxiety. Once and while is okay. I've tried E in HS wasn't my thing. I like won't touch anything else.

pot's great, but I hate how unproductive it can make me.

DXM is kinda ghetto, it's for the same people who'd huff gas really.

Mushrooms are fucking amazing, I haven't done them in almost a year so I think I'm gonna get some soon.

E's alright, kinda bunk and you never know what it's cut with. MDMA is where it's at.

And coke's just a waste, seen a few friends go downhill from that shit. Heroin/Meth's fucked as well. I would never try that shit. I just like pot, shrooms, oh and booze ;D I do love to drink, but never to the point where I'm blackout violent drunk or shit, I like to have control. I'm normally pretty good with shit like that, and on shrooms and such, I'm always the one who can handle their shit.

I actually lose no productivity when high or not. I'd procrastinate certain things regardless if I'm sober or not. Most time I work I am high, because one I'm in my house alone, I don't have roommates and I'm working and listening to music.

Yeah, I've noticed this with me too. I have a tremendous tolerance, though, so there's really no point in alcohol. My timeline with alcohol's also pretty weird, kind of syncing up with Grim's drug timeline in some ways.

drank wine only on catholic feasts -> drank wine only with women -> drank anything -> realized it was pointless (and also a money sink!) -> currently only drink wine with women

I'm pretty jaded with drinking alcohol with (male) friends. If you aren't good enough friends with said people to do stupid and meaningless shit with them sober, they probably aren't good friends to begin with. But that's just my outlook.

Ugh, yes. It's like the white suburban teenager's crack; the dirtiest, cheapest high you can find.

The fact that both Canada and the UK have a working and sustainable healthcare system for over 50 years begs to differ. It's not perfect, we do have shortages and it occasionally has long waits for NON-FATAL injures in an Emergency room.

I agree that America needs a COMPLETELY different system than ours because they need to sustain 300 million people vs Canada's 34 million and UK's 62 million peoples.

Honestly, socialized healthcare is amazing, we've just yet to find the perfect way of executing it.

Yeah sometimes drinking with people you're not too fond of sucks. Good thing I have 2 good core friends I do most of that shit with.

There is one flaw in your tax marijuana plan. So many joe blows can grow it I don't think they could keep track of who to tax. To do so, you'd have to eliminate Growers, and then basically what I call Coca Cola-ize it. For taxation to even be feasible.

Also, just because they raise taxes on or tax something doesn't mean shit will get better, Point in case all of NYC. Like they've uped everything there and it hasn't solved many problems. (for many reasons) But mostly because people pay checks aren't getting raised up. But the taxes, the bridges and other tolls have shot up and they've taxed the asshole out of cigerettes. It hasn't solved shit. Last time I checked they NY staten was having a lot of problems with the government. Maybe Pit knows more I haven't paid attention to NYC news.

Considering the revenue the people traveling to and from the city daily generates and they still bitch about not having enough money. You can tax shit in theory and it work, But here is the biggest flaw. It counts on the right people doing the right thing with the money and most of those people can't even do that in politics. But then again that is just me and based off what little I've been following.

Not everyone would be growing, though. Plus you gain revenue from not having to pursue charges on a 16 year old kid who was smoking a spliff. Not having to enforce all those menial pot charges would add up over time to a nice surplus I'd imagine, than you reinvest that into infrastructure education and health care.

I didn't say everyone would be growning. But how would the government keep track of it. Like if the government sold and distrubed there own yes they can tax that or if it was pre regulated like tobacco who has a formed industry and a set of main people who provide "studies" and represent big tabacco yes you can tax them. but the problem with pot is any asshole can grow it. weather it is shit weed or really good. How does the government 1 control that and then 2 have the nerve to tax it.

You have decriminalize it 1st. Then make it legal to be broken down. Then you have to form said companies and institutions, I dunno how relevant this is but think of it like downloading music. While itunes makes money off most common people who either have an irrational fear of government finding them and putting them away for downloading music for free. you still have a vast majority who downloads free music. How can the government really control that?

It is the same principal. How do you even tax something that any person can distribute and have really no way of tracking. there is no heads of this institute that are making companies around selling pot in this country that aren't criminals. The actual process in which to legalize and tax weed is so complex because this, I doubt we will see taxation of it or legalization any time soon. I mean it is america people still get up in arms about gay rights and stuff.

Had the industry been established way back like when tobacco was then yes probably more realistic to tax it.

well i see your point.

but unless you're growing a massive amount it's hardly profitable.
added to that, if it was legal and accessible as alcohol, the cost would go down
on average in a CA dispensary an eighth (3.5g s) cost 60$, but with the supply getting freed up, the demand will stay the same so i suspect prices to drop to 20$/eight if not less. dramatically decreasing profit margins to the point that only well established growers will profit by increasing volume which will be possible due to not having to hide in small warehouses.

i compare it to home brewing beer. yea it's easy and you can get beer; but it's not free, and not easy, just a purist exercise in elitism. i plan on brewing my own, just like soon as i get my own place i plan on growing some marijuana, but it's easier for the mainstream consumers to retreive it from large scale productions.

this doesn't even TOUCH the potential jobs that will be introduced to the USA from the cultivation. marijuana/hemp products created in the US will create jobs, making the republicans happy, and it's a natural renewable resource making the democrats/hippy/green fucks happy.

but like you said, you need the right people to do the right thing. me harping about it with logic and informed opinions means nothing, activism might help but i haven't the time for that. so yea, i'm no help.

So many joe blows could grow it, that's for sure. That's an example of "The American Dream" where anyone has the power and accessibility to make an incredible life for themselves but only the truly motivated actually get there.

If pot is made legal, it must be taxed. The potential income for the government by taxing marijuana would be similar to that of tobacco, but on a smaller scale, as there are more tobacco smokers than marijuana smokers but for sure the revenue generated from taxing the commodity would be significant.

Then, the government should create incentives for farmers and others of the like to -want- to grow this stuff. It will be rough since it was the government initially who created the "pot kills" stigma. However through education of its effects on people from recreational, medical, financial, and cultural aspects, anything is possible. Aside from the "medical" aspect, Cigarettes and Alcohol already have this going on.

Then comes the business. Farmers and growers would cultivate the plant in a crop rotation like we've been doing since the agricultural revolution. From there, it will be sold to commercial distributors and laboratories. The Laboratories would take the product and change it's properties by deriving the THC from the organic structure of the buds and converting it into hash, or other "THC-based prescription medication" that pharmaceuticals would no doubt purchase high volumes of (after becoming legalized.) Also, the labs could even research the drug further more to discover other properties never before known because of legality and funding. The distributors would materialize it. Convert it from a raw plant product into packages of smokeworthy bud, prerolled blunts, and joints packed away twenty at a time like a pack of cigs. Basically they will middleman the shit, and then flip it to the business niche. Gas stations, Liquor Barns, Bars with vending machines, grocery stores, WAL-MART... marijuana would be "available everywhere to anyone, at a price they could afford" - Henry Ford

The consumer would get a pack of j's & pay the attendant just like every other Supply/Demand transaction, his money goes to store profit, middleman profit, agricultural profit, and government taxation profit.

and then, the overwhelming effects of having "munchies" would sloth people into making the country the heftiest in the world, for an even longer time HAHA ;P

God fucking dammit. I slept through classes on Monday on accident, and I slept through them today on accident as well. Monday wasn't as big of a deal, but today I had a lab in Comp. Sci. that I had to attend, and EE homework that was supposed to be turned in. I can somewhat make up the Comp. Sci. thing, but I also woke up past my professor's office hours. No late homework is accepted in EE, and each homework is ~1.5% of my grade.

FFFUUUCK. WHY DID MY ALARM NOT GO OFF.
